Job Summary

We are seeking a Production Artist to join our Digital Media Department. This position will play a key role in the creative design, production, and implementation of Lincoln Learning Solutions' media assets. The selected candidate must have experience designing media products and an extensive knowledge of the software used to create them. They must possess proficient illustration skills, boundless creativity, and an aptitude for critical thinking. The selected candidate will participate in collaborative design discussions and should be comfortable working in multidisciplinary teams where they will draw upon their professional background and expertise to create media assets for the Lincoln Learning Solutions curriculum.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience in a design/communication-related field. Publication and production experience preferred
  • Ability to visualize and create graphical assets, including illustrations and visual aids
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively between team members
  • Must be organized and self-motivated
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and under strict/changing deadlines
  • Capable of problem solving and critical thinking
  • Expertise in the use of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After-Effects, Character Animator)
  • Act 153 and Act 168

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design layouts with interactive applications in mind, i.e., Google Drawings, Interactive Learning Objects, Videos, Gifs, PDFs, Microsoft Word, etc.
  • Develop age-appropriate content with a focus on intended student experience and parent/teacher ease of use.
  • Prepare assets for delivery to be implemented by the curriculum team into the curriculum learning management system.
  • Maintain and update media assets, images, and archival projects to Digital Asset Manager (Razuna, JIRA, etc.).
  • Design and create assets for use with video and print media.
  • Utilize design principles: composition, color, line, form, and layout in interactive applications.
  • Communicate ideas effectively and professionally to colleagues.
  • Illustrate and discuss design concepts through sketches, mockups, and prototypes.
  • Anticipate the strengths and constraints of different technologies and design accordingly.
  • Work closely with other artists and designers from inception to implementation.
  • Manage and meet deadlines while balancing multiple projects.
  • Prepare assets for delivery to be implemented in a Learning Content Management System.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
