Job Summary
Lincoln Learning Solutions is seeking an Illustrator/Video Designer to join its Creative Media team. The hire will play a key role in creating, designing, and adapting digital illustrations for use throughout the Lincoln Learning Solutions curriculum and will work with video editors to create illustrations and motion graphics for the video lessons. The selected candidate must have experience designing digital artwork and extensive knowledge of the software used to create it. They must possess proficient illustration skills, boundless creativity, and an aptitude for critical thinking. The candidate must be comfortable working with multidisciplinary teams, drawing upon their professional background and expertise to create digital illustrations for Lincoln Learning Solutions courses.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 2 years experience in a professional environment using digital drawing programs to create original artwork
- A digital portfolio, website, or other medium showcasing previous work
- Ability to create in different art styles based on a project’s requirements
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with team members
- Organized and self-motivated
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and meet strict/changing deadlines
- Capable of problem-solving and critical thinking
- Expertise in relevant Adobe Creative Suite illustration applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
- Act 153 and Act 168
- Promote the vision and mission of Lincoln Learning Solutions.
- Perform any additional duties deemed necessary by Lincoln Learning Solutions management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Interest and/or experience in motion graphics and animation
- Experience with Adobe After Effects
- Experience using Procreate Dreams animation software
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Create custom digital illustrations for use throughout the Lincoln Learning Solutions curriculum.
- Develop illustrations and simple animations for use in videos in collaboration with video editors.
- Develop age-appropriate content with a focus on intended student experience and parent/teacher ease of use.
- Maintain and update existing media assets, images, and archival projects.
- Utilize the design principles of composition, color, line, form, layout, etc., in your work.
- Anticipate the strengths and constraints of various technologies, and design accordingly.
- Communicate ideas effectively and professionally to colleagues.
- Participate in constructive feedback regarding your work, and demonstrate willingness to adapt, learn, and grow.
- Manage and meet deadlines while balancing multiple projects.
