Job Summary

Collaborate with the sales team to generate leads related to grant opportunities with a strong emphasis on coordinating the company's efforts in identifying and completing grant proposals. The Grant and RFP Coordinator will draft, review, and execute grant and RFP responses. The Grant and RFP Coordinator will work with a team of contributors from across the organization to coordinate cross-functional responses.

Minimum Qualifications

  • This position requires a bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, communications, or English.
  • Excellent research skills and the ability to write persuasively and articulately
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Experience in drafting and/or contributing to proposals (Grants, RFPs, RFIs, etc.)
  • Strong communication and planning skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, computer, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, MS Office, Word)
  • Ability to quickly learn new computer software skills and programs
  • Creativity and initiative: Ability to multi-task, self-start, and implement practical solutions
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
  • Have or obtain: Child Abuse Clearance; Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check, and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Clearance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Study and understand the history, structure, objectives, programs, and financial needs of schools and education institutes to best align grant opportunities.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, academic affairs, finance, IT, and prospective clients to create timely, accurate, and engaging proposals and grant responses.
  • Research grant and RFP opportunities from government and non-government agencies.
  • Stay current on federal and state funding in the education industry.
  • Meet RFP and grant deadlines by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, reviewing, and approval.
  • Work effectively with internal subject matter experts to develop consistent compelling responses to satisfy proposal requirements.
  • Review functional, technical, and company information received from internal subject matter experts.
  • Coordinate final production and delivery of complete grant and RFP responses.
  • Ability to work on multiple proposals/grants simultaneously.
  • Improve the proposal-writing processes by providing and implementing templates, proposal-writing standards, etc., to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of grant responses.
  • Assist sales and marketing teams with market research in a variety of EdTech areas.
  • Performs additional duties as deemed necessary by management.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
