Our Mission

Identify and maximize learning and educational drivers within civic, social, and community activities that link to our core assets and strategies and will facilitate solutions for student advancement.

Our Passionate Commitment for Giving Back to Partner Communities

Lincoln Learning Solutions is a nonprofit educational solutions organization redefining the PreK-12 learning experience through a continuum of learning. By providing the most differentiated, customizable digital learning curriculum tools available in combination with the best in-class teacher instruction, we maximize blended learning models to help all students "own" content standards.

But that's just the beginning of our story. Lincoln Learning Solutions is on an unstoppable mission to instill hope in children, parents, organizations, and communities! Through grants and donations, Lincoln Learning Solutions strives to create better communities for students, teachers, administrators, and families.

During the past two years, Lincoln Learning Solutions has made such grants and donations totaling more than $6 million. These contributions include supporting and founding a K-8 arts-focused charter school start-up serving approximately 500 students; providing a significant donation to the United Way, which sponsors numerous educational programs; establishing  an educational trust for college scholarship programs and direct grants to classroom teachers; and donating to multiple schools, community groups, post-secondary institutions, arts organizations, and after-school programs.

Lincoln Learning Solutions believes wholeheartedly in the power of partnership. We are committed to improving the lives of our students through our innovative and rigorous curriculum as well as the lives of everyone in our partner communities!

When the World Says "Give Up," Hope Whispers "Try One More Time."
- United Way

When the steel mills in western Pennsylvania closed in the late 20th century, many Beaver County residents were out of work, merely trying to survive. With the help of the United Way, Beaver County funded 17 partner agencies that worked tirelessly to assist neighbors, schools, and business owners to get back on track. On nearly 300,000 occasions during this timeframe, Beaver County benefitted in some manner from donations made available by the United Way.

Lincoln Learning Solutions, a nonprofit organization, believes wholeheartedly in the mission of the United Way and is encouraged by the direction it has taken its Beaver County operation in recent decades. We are thrilled to announce our partnership with this outstanding nonprofit group, knowing that, together with the people of Beaver County, we will work to improve local schools, businesses, and daily life.

Music Fosters and Deepens Meaningful Learning

A leader in the online learning industry and a true supporter of the arts, Lincoln Learning Solutions is proud to partner with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, an organization whose outreach efforts tie directly to the mission and vision of Lincoln Learning Solutions. Through programs such as Fiddlesticks, school-time concerts, and sensory-friendly performances, the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra reaches more than 70,000 children and adults each year, providing cost-effective or free music opportunities for community members.

Lincoln Learning Solutions acknowledges that research has shown a link between music and spatial intelligence. These spatial skills come into play when students solve multistep problems in architecture, engineering, math, art, gaming, and technology courses. As well, Lincoln Learning Solutions recognizes that music helps to foster students' understanding of all areas of learning and is proud to partner with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra in its musical learning and community outreach efforts.

"It is not enough to simply teach children to read; we have to give them something worth reading. Something that will stretch their imaginations—something that will help them make sense of their own lives and encourage them to reach out toward people whose lives are quite different from their own."
—Katherine Patterson

Children are born with a genuine passion for learning. As they grow, children develop a natural love and curiosity for reading, but somewhere along their educational pathways, their fervor for reading often wanes.

Recognizing that all children must build upon their natural love for lifelong literacy, The Beaver County Educational Trust put a plan in place to ensure that Beaver County children foster this enthusiasm for learning.

Throughout the past 20 years, BCET has expanded the lifelong literacy learning opportunities of the youth in Beaver County. With several programs targeted at keeping students' love for reading and learning in place throughout their K-12 journey, Lincoln Learning Solutions has focused on supporting the following BCET programs:

• Growing with Books, which introduces young families to reading by providing them with age appropriate books semi-annually to children through age 5 who were born in Beaver County.
• Mini-Grants, which are offered to high school teachers who strive to challenge their students to go beyond the standard curriculum and explore the world beyond K-12.

Lincoln Learning Solutions is honored to partner with BCET as it continues to motivate and challenge all Beaver County children to develop a love for literacy and make learning a lifelong process.

"Overcoming poverty is not a gesture of charity. It is the protection of a fundamental human right, the right to dignity and a decent life."
— Nelson Mandela, Former President of South Africa

LanVwa is a nonprofit organization that focuses on providing access to education and educational resources to students in developing regions. LanVwa, which means "the voice" in Haitian Creole, is working to give back what poverty steals – a person's voice. By connecting students of all ages with the proper tools and encouraging them to take ownership of their future, the organization believes that the cycle of poverty can be stopped one village at a time. The LanVwa model focuses on education and student development, utilizing primarily free or low-cost solutions. The organization enables students to overcome many educational deterrents by linking students to qualified teachers through an online classroom.

Lincoln Learning Solutions feels strongly that the LanVwa model indeed can ignite minds and change the world!

Community-Based Giving

By working together and focusing on concerns expressed by local charitable organizations, Lincoln Learning Solutions employees make a direct and often personal impact on the lives of less fortunate residents within their own communities. These employees give of themselves and ask their peers to join them in giving to agencies operating at the grassroots level in the cities, towns, and counties in which they live.

Employee-Initiated Giving

At Lincoln Learning Solutions, we are proud of our unique employee culture. As a nonprofit organization, we strive to improve the lives of students across the United States, but that’s not all we do! Outside of their work schedules, Lincoln Learning Solutions employees give back to their communities through various volunteer activities. Our people represent the corporate soul of our company, and we could not be more proud.
